More importantly it will be 15 years since I started my work career, and all of that 15 years has been focused on the youth. At least 10 of it, specifically on youth development.

In many respects things have changed across the country: enterprise is in vogue, young people are able to express themseves and hold government more accountable, the civic and job spaces are slowly expanding.

Akinwumi Ambode has won the Lagos State All Progressives Congress, APC, gubernatorial ticket.
Ambode won the keenly contested election on Thursday.
The 51-year-old accountant and public finance management expert, defeated other candidates like Commissioner for Works, Femi Hamzat, the Senate Minority Whip, Ganiyu Solomon, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Adeyemi Ikuforiji and former Commissioner for Health, Leke Pitan.

States of Jersey to Return £315 Million Abacha Loot to Nigeria

The States of Jersey the biggest territory in the Channels Island is set to return £ 315 million Abacha loot to Nigeria.

Micheal Birt, the Ballif of Jersey stated this at a dinner in honour of Dalhatu Tafida, Nigerian High Commissioner to the UK during a State visit to the Island.

Birt who doubles as the Island’s Civic Head of State and ceremonial head is the highest ranking official in the Jersey order of precedence.

It will be recalled that the Island famous for its transparent banking services had previously repatriated in two tranches £140 million pounds of the loot.

Sunday, December 7 has been declared by the Christian Association of Nigeria as day of special prayers for victims of insurgency, while a special offering is to be collected for the victims.
